The Lawson Academy is a one-of-a-kind place. Created in 2002, this is a single gender middle school with one campus for girls and one campus for boys. Middle school (grades 6, 7 and 8) is the hardest for most children, since they are learning AND growing up at the same time.
The majority of the students are low income, qualifying for the Federal Free Lunch Program. In fact, a lot are being raised by grandparents, aunts or family friends. Why does it matter? Because this school is a safe place where these students are valued and supported.
But, we have outgrown our facility and we need your help to build a new campus.
The new campus uses modular buildings with each gender having its own distinct building. The Administration building will also provide for a cafeteria, an Awards Hall and office spaces for administration and staff.
Every dollar we can raise adds to the quality of our campus.
Your gift of $100 will make sure we have a Tiger Paw paver in the courtyard.
Your gift of $500 will enable us to provide a computer in the Technology Lab.
Your gift of $1,000 provides us with a week’s work of food for our 6th grade girls.
With $25,000 you can make sure we have athletic equipment for all our students.
Put your family name on a classroom for $50,000.
Every dollar helps us to make a difference in the lives of students.
Help spread the word!
